Please notice that it remove it from the list only, not delete the project. You still can re-open it by clicking on "Open an existing Android Studio project".
Remove project from Recent Projects list of Android Studio welcome page
To remove project from Recent Projects list, right click the project in welcome page to select it, then press [Delete] key, or [Fn] key (the key marked with Windows icon) + [Delete] key.
